Population with 50 pre-zygotic and 100 post zygotic as above seems stable at 200.

On run 4 same but only 8 kids is stable.  Saved for now as InPop.

6 kids:  200/4000 pops, who lived?

Running at ID, then 1 sim, 1,000 gens, 6 kids, 0 init pop, varying max, 0 genes, 0 gene mutations, 50 pre-zygotic sites, 2,000 epimuts, 23 impact, 100 post-zygotic sites, s,000 epimuts, 23 impact, 1 delay, add file “unknown” or “unkn,” varying number.  Max pop across, imported pop down.  How many lived out of 10? Accumulating 6, work sheet 1.

Second go at 1300 and 35 with 6 offspring showed no inbreeding depression, sheet 1 run 18.  Need to reduce preZ more.  Also will increase kids from 6 to 10.  Impact stays at 35.  Tweak epimut rate starting at 2500.  Drop pre-z sites from 50 to 25.  ID 19, sheet 2, 10 sims, 1k gens, pop init and top 200, 0 genes and mutations, 1 delay as always thus:   lived at 200/lived at 4k.

Let’s wait on that.

2 peaks looked just a little better (slightly slower climb and slightly more complex fall) than run 18 acc 6, which had pre-z sites 12 and kids 11

I shall double the inpop size by adding the same numbers twice.  ;o).

Hmmm. Not so good.

All right, the grand mix of acc 7 run 6 was a disaster.  So I’ve pulled up the parameters for “double Run” back in 2012.  They go:
200 kids, 100 pre sites, 12,000 change rate, 1,200 impact and 100 post sites, 1,200 change rate and 1,200 impact.  If I divide them all by 4, that ought to work the same (it really doesn’t work, but I suspect it’s close.) as 50 kids.

That gives us 24 kids, 3,000 change, 300 impact pre and 300 change and 300 impact post.  We’ll run that for 200/2000.  Acc 7 work sheet 1 run 7. meth rate and impact will be pre/post

So we’ll do a prep run at 200 and then bring them into the 2000 regime.
Tomorrow. … That would be today, Sep 18, 2016
Did the prep run; ok.  Then tried the main run; dead and. I suspect a problem with the program.  So here we go; I’ll do the prep run (Acc 7, run 12 starting with source code.  (Yeah, sure, I’ve rebooted a lot.)

Here it is; lasted a long time.

500 looks OK so I’ll graph the last simulation as “Last sim Acc 7 run” 20

The graph says we need more pre-Z so we go to pre-Z 600, 600 and leave post-Z 500, 500. … 6 died, so drop the post z to 400, 400. So 5 died; we drop her to 350, 350 and 8 died.  Maybe we should go back to* 400, 400.

But we’ll go down to 300, 300. 9 died in the first generation.  Not plausible.  Pewter is down.  I’ll shut her down for the night.

Trying again on Dec. 18, 2016
Last run was (worksheet2.doc run 5): ID 23; Simulations 10; maximum generations 1k; max offspring 25; initial population 200; Max population 200; genes per chromo 0; gene mutations 0; pre-zygotic sites 100, pre-zygotic mutations 600; pre-zygotic impact 600; post-zygotic sites 100; post-zygotic mutations 350; post-zygotic impact 350; delay 1; add file no.  ONLY 2 SURVIVED. But at 500/500, 500/500 starting new population of 200, all lived.
So we shall try to save a population of 200 with those parameters and max pop 200.  It will be on worksheet 2 column 7.

OK, now it’s Jan 8, 2017, but we’re continuing as planned: ten of ten runs survived and I saved 200.

We shall run it again, bringing in the saved 200 and raising max pop to 1,000, 10 reps as in column 8 work sheet 2.   OK then 2 died.  We hold everything the same but go up to4,000.

And that will be worksheet 2, column 9.So it was, and they all died, a couple of 10 early at 88 and 89.  So now we just grind away single runs till we get on dying then, maybe about five runs.

Worksheet 2,column 10 will be just the same but 1 rep and we’ll bring in 200 from inpop. Sooo it died out after 5 peaks and about 200 generations; column 11, run 29 on worksheet 2 will be just the same. Alas, all the work with a balky keyboard to make that graph and the computer et it.  L

We’ll do a few more runs like column 10

Run 30 had three rough peaks and lasted 109 generations.

Run 31 did not have clear peaks and lasted 116 generations.

Run 32 did not have good peaks and lasted 180 generations.

Run 33 lasted 111 generations.  We’ll have a look.  Not too shabby. J

Run 34 lasted 200 generations.  No need to look at it.

Run 35 lasted 200 generations.  It’s all a hoax, this reality thing, you know?  We are running Accum 5 inside the compiler.

Run 36 survived. Wtf
Run 37 died at generation 171.

Run 38, 39 and 40 all lived.  L
Neither 41 nor 42 failed early, so I ran 43 with 200 new population and 200 seasoned population.  It collapsed right away, as did 10 runs in 44, although it looks like it might be a bug.  45 will be 200 fresh ones and 100 seasoned ones.  … exactly the same: first sim died after 2 generations and the rest died after one.  Sooo … we drop the 100 t0 64 in 46 and grope from there.  Nope; on to 32.

Run 47 column 10 worksheet 3 5 died, last at gen 73. Let’s look. OK, seems like it worked. J

Plunging ever onward we’ll pull in 200 of an earlier run that had survived for 1,000 generations and run it for another 200 gens as run 48 on worksheet 3 column 11.  It lived.  Let’s look.  It oscillates in a steady way.  Good enough. J

All right.  Three good and one to go.  Need damped oscillation.  Run 49, which will be worksheet 3, column 12, will be just like 48 but start with 100 pulled in from the old population.  Good.  Now the damped oscillation begins to appear.  J

(what comes through as "J" is pretty much a smiley face)
